Women Who Go the Extra Mile and the Shoes They Do It In.

These are women who Step Up, put their best foot forward, lead, march and cover a lot of ground. They walk the walk through boardrooms, showrooms and factory floors. To be appropriately shod is frequently a test of style, stamina and flexibility. As with most other challenges the Woman Road Warrior takes it in stride.

It is frequently said that multi-taskers wear many hats. Our experience is that contemporary businesswomen don't wear a lot of hats - but they do wear multiple pairs of shoes. For WRWs that means owning, choosing and packing the right ones – for air travel (getting through security), for meetings (looking professional), for walking (through terminals, on city streets, up and down stairs and in all weather).

Most of us have collected traveling shoes, business shoes, Mom shoes, fun shoes, running shoes, slippers, clogs and heels. That's why in celebration of the 5th annual Woman Road Warrior Day – our theme is "Women Who Go the Extra Mile and Shoes They Do It In."

For Woman Road Warrior Day 2010, we celebrate the history, versatility,
Inventiveness and style of women's shoes and we invite Woman Road Warriors to show us their shoe solutions for the following:

Best of Shoe – Tell us about your best pair of shoes ever - the ones you wore out still remember and wish you had bought three pair of.

Dream Shoes – If appointed Queen or suddenly blessed with lottery winnings, what shoes would you buy?

Future or Fantasy Shoes – No one has made your ultimate shoe as yet?  Design your own.

Security Shoes – What are the best shoes to wear through security?

Funky and functional – Heelies, boots, trainers, sandals?  What shoes help you cover the most and varied ground?

Fun & Frivolous – Yes, we’re allowed.  You know that pair in the back of the closet that you just fell in love with but rarely find a place to wear.  Bring them out and show them off.

The fun will culminate in The Great Shoe Fashion Show and Award ceremony to be held on Monday, September 20, 2010
